The Chamber invited representatives from nearly 100 outstanding enterprises and institutions in relevant sectors to participate in the meeting. Together, they explored market opportunities in China and Vietnam and worked to elevate economic and trade cooperation between Chinese enterprises and Vietnam to a new level.
Chen Jianxin, President of our Association, along with the Secretariat and representatives from various enterprises, extends a warm welcome to the visiting Vietnamese delegation. China and Vietnam are all-weather strategic partners, with the Belt and Road Initiative and Vietnam's national strategy deeply integrated, offering vast opportunities for cooperation. Vietnam stands as the economic gem of Southeast Asia, boasting outstanding resource endowments, a comprehensive industrial ecosystem, and a deep and expansive market. In recent years, Vietnam has deepened its reforms toward a “socialist-oriented market economy,” with its business environment index rising year after year. It has established global competitiveness in sectors such as electronics and information technology, new energy, and green agriculture, making it a highly strategic long-term partner. As a key node city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou shares strong complementarities with Vietnam in areas including electronics and information technology, new energy, green agriculture, and cross-border logistics, offering immense potential for cooperation. We look forward to leveraging this exchange meeting as an opportunity to join hands with Vietnam and jointly compose a new chapter in Belt and Road cooperation.
Mr. Pham Chi Cuong, Commercial Consul of the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Guangzhou, reviewed the long-standing Silk Road friendship between the two nations in his address. He systematically introduced Vietnam's market environment, covering local industrial policies and strategic industries, and interpreted investment opportunities.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, Head of the Delegation, comprehensively introduced Vietnam's investment environment and expressed anticipation for deepening cooperation with Chinese enterprises in key development sectors such as agriculture, food processing, building materials, trade, and tourism. Mr. Liang Zhiqiang, General Manager of Guangzhou Jianhong Construction Technology Consulting Co., Ltd. and representative of the association's member enterprises, shared insights on market expansion strategies, cooperation models, risk mitigation, and successful experiences in the China-Vietnam market.
During the exchange session, representatives from both sides introduced their companies and business scopes on-site. They engaged in active discussions and matchmaking around Vietnam's eight key industries—agriculture, food processing, building materials, trade, tourism, and others—covering regional economic hubs including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Can Tho.
Though modest in value, the gifts carried profound meaning, symbolizing mutual commitment to cooperation. During the heartwarming “Silk Road Gift Exchange” segment, representatives from the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak Province, Vietnam, presented a thoughtful gift to Ms. Chen Jianxin, President of our Association, conveying sincere anticipation for bilateral collaboration. Subsequently, representatives from our Association reciprocated with carefully prepared gifts for the Vietnamese delegation. This mutual exchange, regardless of material value, carries trust and friendship that transcends mountains and seas, embodying the shared aspirations of China and Vietnam for harmonious coexistence and joint development.
Centered on five key Vietnamese industries—agriculture, food processing, building materials, trade, and tourism—the event established a practical and efficient platform for Guangdong enterprises to expand overseas. It facilitated information sharing and resource exchange, injecting new momentum into deepening exchanges and cooperation between Guangzhou and Vietnam across various sectors.
