President Chen Jianxin of our association, accompanied by the secretariat and representatives from various enterprises, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from Uzbekistan. In his address, President Chen emphasized that China and Uzbekistan are all-weather strategic partners, with the Belt and Road Initiative and the “New Uzbekistan” strategy deeply integrated, offering vast opportunities for cooperation. Uzbekistan, as the economic core of Central Asia, boasts abundant resources, a solid industrial foundation, and tremendous market potential. In recent years, Uzbekistan has achieved remarkable results in market-oriented reforms, continuously optimized its business environment, and developed competitive advantages in sectors such as energy and agriculture, making it a highly valuable partner. As a key node city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou possesses strong complementarities with Uzbekistan in advanced manufacturing, green energy, cross-border logistics, and other fields, offering immense potential for cooperation. We look forward to leveraging this exchange meeting as an opportunity to join hands with Uzbekistan and jointly compose a new chapter in Belt and Road cooperation.
During the exchange session, representatives from both companies provided on-site introductions to their respective business scopes. They engaged in active discussions and matchmaking across multiple sectors in Uzbekistan, including environmental media, food nutrition, cosmetic ingredients, functional foods, glove manufacturing, digital technology and artificial intelligence, as well as aviation cooperation.
Gifts convey heartfelt sentiments, while seals symbolize shared aspirations. During the “Silk Road Gift Exchange” segment, the Chairman of the Board of the Uzbekistan National Economic Cooperation Association presented a thoughtful gift to Ms. Chen Jianxin, President of our Association, expressing sincere expectations for mutual cooperation. Subsequently, representatives from our Association reciprocated with carefully prepared gifts for the Uzbekistan delegation. This exchange of gifts carries trust and friendship across mountains and seas, embodying the shared aspirations of China and Uzbekistan for harmonious coexistence and joint development.
This event facilitated matchmaking across multiple sectors in Uzbekistan, including environmental media, food nutrition, cosmetic ingredients, functional foods, glove manufacturing, digital technology and artificial intelligence, and aviation cooperation. It established a practical and efficient platform for Guangdong enterprises to expand overseas, enabling information sharing and resource exchange. This initiative has injected new momentum into deepening exchanges and cooperation between Guangzhou and Uzbekistan across various fields.
