Strategic Partnership Established Between GDUFS and Industry Association to Advance Industry–Education Integration

Zhu Zhenying, Party Secretary of the School of Economics and Trade at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies; Xu Yuelin, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Trade; Guan Huaping, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Trade; and Lu Fang, Academic Affairs Officer of the School of Economics and Trade; Chen Jianxin, Chairman of the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Cooperation Alliance and President of the Guangzhou Modern Information Service Industry Association, accompanied by the Secretariat, attended this meeting to discuss new pathways for the coordinated development of industry-academia-research collaboration.

At the meeting, Chen Jianxin, President of the Association, and Zhu Zhenying, Party Secretary of the School of Economics and Trade, signed the Framework Agreement on Cooperation on behalf of both parties and held a plaque presentation ceremony for the “Practical Teaching Base.” This signing marks the realization of “mutual empowerment and joint ventures” between the two institutions.

This collaboration represents an innovative exploration of deep integration between higher education and industry practice, marking a solid step forward in advancing industry-education integration and collaborative talent development. Moving forward, the association will partner with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies to pool industry resources and academic strengths, addressing the structural gap between international talent cultivation and industrial demands. Together, we will cultivate more high-caliber, application-oriented professionals to support the globalization of industrial chains and the international operations of enterprises.

This strategic partnership not only establishes a new model for the coordinated development of industry, academia, and research in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, but also lays a solid foundation of talent and innovation for the steady and far-reaching progress of the Belt and Road Initiative.
