A delegation of student representatives from Guangzhou Southern University, led by a professor from the Belt and Road Institute of Beijing Normal University, visited our association.

At the symposium, Chen Jianxin, President of the Association, commended the faculty and students of Beijing Normal University and Guangzhou Southern University for their focus on the logistics industry and their in-depth field research. He briefly outlined the Association's efforts in advancing industry standardization, facilitating professional exchanges, and connecting policy resources. Discussions centered on topics including export opportunities for new energy vehicles, the development of logistics corridors under the Belt and Road Initiative, optimizing cross-border e-commerce supply chains, and cultivating international talent.

The research delegation conducted interviews and exchanges with enterprise representatives including Yang Zhigang, General Manager of Dongfang International Supply Chain (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., the association's chair unit. Company representatives provided detailed introductions to their development strategy centered on “international supply chain,” encompassing diversified business segments such as automotive exports, cross-border e-commerce, and logistics services. They highlighted their deep cultivation practices in markets like Africa and South America, as well as their strategic vision for expanding into emerging markets through the Belt and Road Initiative.

During this exchange, the professor team offered insights from academic research and policy analysis perspectives, while corporate representatives shared industry realities and challenges based on practical experience, fostering a productive dialogue between academia, industry, and research. Following the exchange, the visiting delegation extended letters of appreciation to the Guangzhou Modern Information Service Industry Association and Dongfang International Supply Chain (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Chen Jianxin, General Manager Yang Zhigang, Director Zeng Weilong, and all colleagues for their candid insights and warm hospitality.
